Hello Mer-fans!
We have finally recovered from the 2018 Seward Mermaid Festival! It was rainy, windy, so so very wet day – but we persevered and hung out most of the day – AND had fun :).
Mermaid Taryn, Terror of the Tides, proved to be the same magnet to children and adults alike as her previous Mersona last year. She smiled, posed, brandished her sword, snuck inside the bakery to warm up – all while being led around and sometimes carried by her First Mate, followed by her faithful entourage.
Here are some pictures we took during the day – because of the weather we stuck to our phones instead of breaking out the big camera – but we captured the special moments.
And – After being recognized as last years winner, our Mermaid brought home Second Place this year – the Sea Maiden took first, and Steampunk Ariel took third. 🙂 And? A good time was had by all!
